Slow morning & too exciting afternoon

I was watching from gold to eur/chf to try understand what will happen next in euro. It's not market that I like. It was slow, slow uptrend. First I tried to go with the trend but there were no momentum and I had an exit in second eur/usd trade just to cover loss from the first one. It's like that when you trade on such small s/l and momentum driven situation. Later I wanted to go short. My thinking was that resistance will kick in as we are approaching levels from Friday that were heavily in loss through the last night. It's kind of swing trading for me and I decided to go in but with half position to give myself easier sitting in that intuition trade. Than I averaged with another half.
I was contemplating with making that swing trade, probably I would if eur/usd broke down heavily when it broke the trend line. But it didn't and I'm adding my scalps nicely and for that I took the profit of +7.

I had one little momentum gbp/usd trade for 20 second and +3 pips.

Afternoon session was really hard for me. I saw that gbp/usd is strong and that it's attempting to take out previous high. I just saw that some forces are in market that are pushing it higher. I'm usually scared to go long at that point because it's pretty much high. Than I fade it because it's emotionally easier and I lose.
This time I went long. It was slowly getting up as other currencies and than it broke down. I averaged when it bounced of around bollinger band on 1min t/f. Little up and than again down. On 10sec chart it's easily seen that there really are forces that are buying, but who will be the winner. I really saw that I have a chance and usually I stay in losing trade when I don't have any chance, so let's now try to stick with this one.
Than it started to ascend, slowly but without down ticks. That was it, it's going up. I was in the profit but I pushed button earlier than I should to get out. I don't blame myself. I was -30 pips 5 minutes ago. I got +16 pips on that trade. It could be 30 more in next minute on two positions but I'm ok with what I got.
Moral of the story is that I stayed with the trade that I believed in based on real market action. Too much risk for my usual scalp trading but it was going with the trend. I'm getting better. It would be all fine if I started with half of position, but I was pretty sure that the brake to the up will come so I went full.

In the end +26 pips today

I lose much on day like this

I didn't have the courage to enter in the beginning or middle of the trend. I don't know why but it's usually like that. On some other days I risk on various questionable opportunities but strong trends intimidate me. Usually I get frustrated with missing opportunity. Than I look to go against the trend on the expectation that new trend will develop in opposite direction. Than I average down, trend gets extended and I lose 100+ pips or get b/e if I'm lucky.

I'm proud that my tiny +6 pips came from going with the trend and in my spot when I actually see opportunity from price action.

Over trading

I wasn't in a good mood as yesterday. I didn't actually see anything, I was just guessing and betting. I couldn't stop once I started. Good thing is that I had stops and I used them but on few occasions too wide.
-18 pips (*update -7pips)

*Update
I had another trade. It would be better if I went in eur/usd because I was thinking that there will be break in it. But I wanted to be "clever" so I entered gbp/usd because it was extended to the up so I was expected big snap back. I got only +11 pips.

Day in the office

Today trading felt like work. I wasn't in the mood for it, but I said let's make some profit and finish the work. So I didn't look for reversal but for continuation, finally. I took +7 +6 = +13 pips. I could have get more if I've sit more in the trades but I don't want to complain. Maybe when I lose interest in trading as fun endeavor and feel about it like any other work things will fall in place. Enough trading (work) for me today.

btw. Dinosaur trader is back blogging

First very good trading than bad one

Nice little eur/usd trade in which I got full R of +6 pips. It's slow market and it's nice to get little profit.

Eur was breaking it's support and I shorted gbp because it bounce from support and I was thinking that maybe if it go all the way back it will broke the support and make extended move down. It was half position trade because of the volatility. On that one I got +11 pips of full size.

I'm proud on this kind of trading I would like it to be whole time like that.

Than I started to trade bad. Gbp/usd was heading up alone and it looked like it's short covering. In some moment I decided that it's enough and that it will probably go back. It didn't. It was half position trade. I had stop but than I got such big urge to move stop and add to position. It was such a rush, warm feeling. I don't know can I fight that. This time I couldn't.
Luckily I didn't add to gbp/usd but to gbp/chf which was so extended for the day, two full positions. Pure averaging. Pure bad behavior. It's backed up on some level in reality. Problem is that I probably wouldn't exit those two positions on reasonable stop if they went against me.
I got my exit for all at b/e. But I'm sad, this good trading thing will be harder than I thought. If I enter with half conviction into the trade and it goes against me I'm toasted because of my bad trading behavior.

Funny thing is that while I write this gbp/chf trade is more than 30 pips in profit but it's averaging trade, on those trades I don't get the juice because I exit where I need to not where it's good to.
